This theme has been resonating with me through out the days since I read this- I felt it in a meeting with writers, in conversation with my son, reflections on my writings as a delve into an editing binge, and then this evening as I finished watching Train Dreams I thought of my own web of connections as the character viewed the sum of his life through interactions he experienced. (Beautiful movie and narration)
I will have to check out Train Dreams, Sara. I am SO happy to read this. I’m excited for your writing and so heartened to be on this journey with you. (And to see you at our live in a few weeks!)
I think your cadence change is a wonderful idea. (And in fact, last year I did the same thing.) Your book on Woodhill promises to be fascinating! I'm saving this post, to be sure to have a listen when the time is right.
My (very small but intentional) effort to countermand the despair and chaos in these present days has been to make dates with individual people for lunch, coffee, a walk, a phone call. As is said, if love is stronger than fear, perhaps true connection is stronger than separation?
What lovely meditations. Meditations are not my comfort zone and I find most to be palatable at best, yours tend to feel more comfortable to digest…but these I found savoury.
Q: can I use the children’s one with the students I work with? I love the balloons with their breaths. 🎈

Thank you, Robin! I loved the challenge of writing once a week, but this feels right. Glad to know I’m in good company. xo

I believe that, Nancy! I do!
My brain has gone off on many tangents reading this. All of them connected.
This desire for connectedness is what drives my writing. It’s effortful and it’s also satisfying. (And I haven’t even pressed “play” yet!)
You embody it, Sara! 💖 Keep doing you.

Of course! I knew I made it for a reason. :)
